Bockman Campground
     

      Bockman Campground is located about 2.5 miles east of North Michigan Reservoir at an elevation of 9050 feet. This campground is situated in a relatively open area and offers great views of the Medicine Bow mountain range and Rawah Wilderness. There are 52 campsites arranged in a single loop. The sites in the center of the loop are shaded by lodgepole pine trees. All of the sites are quite large and will easily accommodate large RVs and trailers. This campground was remodeled in the last few years and has three new vault toilets and three water hydrants. There are 13 pull-through sites and one group area (site 345) with six tent sites. The roads through the campground are gravel with gravel parking areas. Reservations are accepted.

HIKING: There are numerous hiking trails in the State Forest .

BOATING: North Michigan Reservoir is available for wakeless boating.

WILDLIFE VIEWING: There is an abundance of wildlife for your viewing pleasure.

Take Highway 287 north from Fort Collins to Laporte. Continue on Highway 287 to Highway 14. Travel west on 14 for about 75 miles over CameronPass to the ColoradoStateForest turnoff. The campground is about five miles from the highway (about 2.5 miles beyond North Michigan Reservoir).
