Mueller State Park
     

      Mueller State Park is located about 3.5 miles south of the town of Divide. The camping facilities here are some of the most beautiful in the state. The campground area is divided into seven campgrounds. Five of these (Peak View, Revenuer’s Ridge, Conifer Ridge, GrouseMountain, and Pisgah Point) will accommodate most any size RV. Turkey Meadow and Prospector Ridge campgrounds contain 22 walk-in tent sites (total). The campground has 132 campsites and is situated at an elevation of 9,500 feet. Facilities include vault and flush toilets, drinking water, electrical hookups for RV sites, showers, laundry, and a dump station. There are three rental cabins in the camping area. All of the campsites are in a forested setting of spruce, aspen, and lodgepole pine. Walk-in tent sites have well defined tent pads. Roads through the campgrounds are paved.

     The scenery here is breathtaking. The campground is open year round and is especially popular during the summer months. Reservations are accepted.

Activities:
FISHING: Fishing is available in Fourmile Creek and in some ponds in the park.

HIKING: There are 33 trails totaling about 55 miles. Pets are not permitted on the trails or in the backcountry.

BIKING: Most of the trails are open to mountain bikes.

PICNICING: There are numerous picnic sites scattered through out the park.

HORSEBACK RIDING: Horse trailer parking and a livery stable is located in the park.

WILDLIFE VIEWING:   There is an abundance of wildlife for your viewing pleasure.

Directions:
     
Take U.S. 24 west from Colorado Springs for 25 miles to Divide. Turn left onto South Highway 67 and travel 3.5 miles to the main entrance to the park. The campground is about two miles from the entrance.
