

The MorainePark Campground is located in Rocky Mountain National Park on the north side of Moraine Park at an elevation of 8,150 feet. This large campground has 247 campsites accommodating tents and RVs. This campground has some of the best views in the Park. The campsites are arranged in four loops with a fifth loop being reserved for groups. There are 137 sites for tents only with many of these being walk-in sites. The campsites are color coded as to their suitability. Brown designates tents sites, blue is for vans or truck campers, yellow sites are for trailers less than 18 feet or mini-motorhomes, and green is for larger trailers and RVs. The maximum recommended length is 40 feet. Facilities include bathrooms with flush toilets, sinks, and electrical outlets, picnic tables, fire grates,, water faucets, an amphitheater, and a dump station. Campsites 39 – 41 on loop A are disabled accessible. Deer and elk can often be seen near the campground and fishing is available in the nearby Big Thompson River. This is a popular campground and reservations are required. Camping is permitted in some sites all year round. The water, however, is turned off after September.

Fishing for trout is available in streams and lakes in the Park.
HIKING: The CubLake, FernLake, Moraine-TuxedoPark, South Lateral Moraine, and DeerRidge-MorainePark trails are close by.
HORSEBACK RIDING : Commercial stables are located nearby.
WILDLIFE VIEWING : There is an abundance of wildlife for your viewing pleasure.
SIGHT SEEING: Take Trail Ridge Road for a great scenic drive.

From Estes Park , take Highway 36 to the Beaver Meadows entrance. Turn left at the Bear Lake Road , first road after entering the Park, and travel about 1.5 miles to the Moraine Park Campground Road . Turn right and follow the signs.
