

The Longs Peak Campground is located in RockyMountainNational Park near the Longs Peak Trailhead and ranger station at an elevation of 9,300 feet. This tent only campground has 26 campsites where sleeping in tents is required (no sleeping in vehicles). The campground is located in a dense stand of lodgepole pines. All campsites have a level tent pad. A paved road makes a single loop through the campground. The Bear Lake Shuttle bus stops at the campground. Facilities include bathrooms with flush toilets, sinks, and electrical outlets, picnic tables, fire grates, and water faucets. Camping is permitted all year round but the water is turned off from mid September to mid May. This campground serves primarily as a base camp for climbing Longs Peak. Reservations are not accepted here so you need to be early to get a spot.

Take Highway 7 south from Estes Park about 8.8 miles to the Longs Peak Area turnoff. Turn right and travel about a mile to the campground. The campground is to the right while the trailhead is to the left.
