Aspenglen Campground
     

      The Aspenglen Campground is located in Rocky Mountain National Park about five miles west of Estes Park just inside the Fall River entrance. It is situated along the Fall River at an elevation of 8,230 feet. This campground is open from mid-May to late September. There are three paved loops containing 54 campsites. Loop A has five short back-in sites plus five walk-in tent sites. Shade is provided by large ponderosa pine trees but many of the campsites are in the open. Loop B (6 – 20) has short back-in sites with some double parking. Loop C (32 – 50) sites are in an open meadow with good views of MacGregor and Deer mountains. The maximum recommended RV length is 30 feet.

     Facilities include picnic tables, fire grates, water faucets, and an amphitheater. Bathrooms have flush toilets, sinks, and electrical outlets. None of the sites have hookups. Reservations are now accepted here . This campground is tucked away from the hubbub of park traffic and offers peaceful seclusion. Check with the Park Service for the current fees.

Activities:
FISHING: Fishing for trout is available in streams and lakes in the Park.

HIKING: There is trail access to the DeerMountain, NorthDeerMountain, and Little HorseshoePark trails.

HORSEBACK RIDING : Commercial stables are located nearby.

WILDLIFE VIEWING : There is an abundance of wildlife for your viewing pleasure in HorseshoePark.

SIGHT SEEING: Take Trail Ridge Road for a great scenic drive.

From EstesPark, take Highway 34 to the Fall River entrance. Turn left after entering the Park and travel the winding road to the campground.
