Selkirk Campground
     

      The Selkirk Campground is located about 8.5 miles northwest of the town of Como on Forest Road 801 at an elevation of 10,500 feet. This primitive campground has 15 campsites. All of the campsites have back-in parking. Most of the back-ins are long enough for small RVs. The campground is situated in a dense stand of lodgepole pine. Shading is adequate and privacy is good. A large meadow is near the campground. There is one vault toilet but no drinking water. The road through the campground is gravel. Reservations are not accepted for sites in this campground. Open late May through September.

FISHING: Fishing is available in North Tarryall Creek.


HIKING: The Gold Dust Trail is nearby.

BIKING: The Gold Dust Trail and Boreas Pass Road are nearby.

WILDLIFE VIEWING : There is an abundance of wildlife for your viewing pleasure.

SCENIC DRIVES : The campground is just below the road to Boreas Pass.

Directions:
     
Take Highway 285 to the town of Como . Turn west on County Road 50 and travel about 3 miles to County Road 33. Turn right and go about 4.3 miles (first mile is narrow) to Forest Road 801. Turn left and travel 1.5 miles to the campground.
