Platte River Campground
     

      The Platte River Campground is located about 3.5 miles north of the town of Deckers next to the South Platte River at an elevation of 6,400 feet. This tent-only campground has 10 walk-in tent sites and is very popular with fishermen. Each campsite has a well defined tent pad. Scattered ponderosa pines provide limited shade. There is one wheelchair accessible vault toilet and a fishing peer. One of the campsites is also wheelchair accessible. All of the campsites overlook the river. There is no drinking water provided here. Reservations are not accepted for sites in this campground.  Open early May through late fall.

FISHING: Great fishing is available in the South Platte River .

HIKING: Hiking is available on the nearby 3.5 mile Gill Trail.
