

The Ophir Creek Campground is located about 48 miles southwest of Pueblo, eight miles north of Lake Isabel. This campground is situated along Squirrel Creek at an elevation of 8,500 feet. There are 31 campsites in the campground. Twelve are back-in campsites suitable for small RVs. The remaining nineteen are walk-in tent sites. Many of the campsites are along Ophir Creek with nine sites located on a ridge above the creek. There are four vault toilets and three water hydrants in the campground. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire grate. Some of the sites are in an open meadow while the rest are shaded by spruce and aspen trees. This area is very pretty, especially in the fall. The campground is very quiet and peaceful. It is a great place to tent camp. Reservations are not accepted. Open May through mid October.

Activities:
MOTORIZED TRAIL RIDING : ATVs are permitted on the Second Mace, Squirrel Creek, Silver Circle trails.
Directions:
From Pueblo , go 25 miles south on interstate 25 to exit 74. Go west 26.5 miles on state Hwy 165 to FSR 400. Turn left and travel about a half mile to the campground.
