

The Michigan Creek Campground is located about 6 miles northwest of the town of Jefferson on County Road 54 at an elevation of 10,000 feet. This campground has 13 campsites. All of the campsites have back-in parking. Most of the back-ins are long enough for small RVs. The campground is situated in a open area surrounded by aspen, spruce, and lodgepole pine. A few sites are in the trees but most are in the open with little shade. Michigan Creek runs by the campground but access is restricted by thick willows. There are two vault toilets but no drinking water. The road through the campground is gravel. Reservations are not accepted for sites in this campground. Open late May through mid September.

FISHING: Fishing is available in Michigan Creek.
BIKING: The Colorado , West Jefferson , and French Pass trails are nearby.
WILDLIFE VIEWING : There is an abundance of wildlife for your viewing pleasure.
Take Highway 285 to the town of Jefferson . Turn west on County Road 35 and go about three miles to County Road 54. Turn right and travel about 3 miles to the campground.
