Lodgepole Campground
     

      The Lodgepole Campground is located about 4.5 miles northwest of the town of Jefferson on County Road 37 at an elevation of 9,900 feet. This campground has 35 campsites arranged around a large loop. Two of the sites are pull-throughs and the rest have back-in parking. The campground is situated in a stand of lodgepole pine offering adequate shade. Facilities include three vault toilets, a water hydrant and trash collection. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire grate. The road through the campground is gravel. Reservations are accepted. An entrance fee for the Jefferson Lake Recreation Area is required. Open Memorial Day through September.

Take Highway 285 to the town of Jefferson . Turn west on County Road 35 and go about two miles to County Road 37. Turn right and travel about 2.5 miles to the campground.
