Lake Creek Campground
     

     The Lake Creek Campground is located about 15 miles northwest of Westcliffe at an elevation of 8,300 feet. This campground has eleven campsites suitable for small RVs and tents. It is situated along Lake Creek. Vegetation consists of dense aspen and oak trees. The one-way road through the campground is gravel. Facilities include two vault toilets and a water hydrant. Six of the campsites are next to the creek. Ample shade and privacy are provided by the dense aspen and oak trees. Reservations are not accepted. There are no RV hookups. Open mid May through September.

Activities:
FISHING: Fishing is available in nearby streams and lakes.

HIKING: Hiking is available on the Brush Lakes, Rainbow, and South Brush trails.

BIKING: Biking is available numerous Forest Service roads.

MOTORIZED TRAIL RIDING : The Rainbow trail is a motorized trail which includes ATV and motorcycle use.

Directions:
     
Take State Highway 69 north from Westcliffe for approximately 11 miles to County Road 198, then west on County Road 198 for 3 miles to Lake Creek Campground.
