

The La Vista Campground is located about 40 miles southwest of Pueblo near Lake Isabel. The elevation here is 8,800 feet. This campground is situated in a meadow above the west side of Lake Isabel with a few scattered trees. There are nineteen RV sites and ten walk-in tent sites. All of the RV sites have electrical hookups. There are five restrooms and numerous water faucets located throughout the campground. Five of the campsites (4 RV and 1 tent) are accessible to physically challenged persons. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire grate. Eleven of the RV sites and six of the tent sites are reservable. The rest are available on a first come / first serve basis. During the summer, the campground receives heavy use on the weekends and holidays. An entrance fee is charged for the Lake Isabel Recreation Area. Bears may frequent this campground so food precautions should be taken. Open May through early September.

Activities:
FISHING: Fishing is available in Lake Isabel and St. Charles Creek.
BOATING: Non motorized boating is permitted on Lake Isabel.
Directions:
From Pueblo , go 25 miles south on interstate 25 to exit 74. Go west 18 miles on state Hwy 165. Turn into the south entrance at Lake Isabel. Look for the La Vista Campground signs.
