Jackson Creek Campground

The Jackson Creek Campground is located about 25 miles southwest of Sedalia at an elevation of 8,100 feet. The campground contains 9 campsites situated along Jackson Creek . This campground is fairly primitive with a vault toilet and no drinking water. The dirt road through the campground ends in a turnaround loop. Most of the campsites are well shaded by large spruce trees. This is pretty much a tent campground as the road (FR 502) leading to the campground is very narrow in spots. It would be difficult for a camper or trailer to get into the campground. This campground was built by volunteers in 1981 and is somewhat in disrepair. Heavy OHV traffic on FR 502 detracts from the seclusion offered by Jackson Creek Campground. Open late May through early September.
