The Happy Meadows Campground is located about three miles north of the town of Lake George. It consists of eleven campsites situated along the South Platte River. The elevation here is about 7,900 feet. All of the sites are located just a stones throw from the river. Campsites are suitable for tents or small RVs. Facilities include a vault toilet and a water hydrant. Each campsite has a picnic table and a fire grate. Campsites are fairly close together providing little privacy. A few trees provide some shade but the area is mostly open meadow. This is a popular campground with fishermen. Reservations are accepted at this campground. Open May through October.
