Davenport Campground
     

     The Davenport Campground is located about 44 miles southwest of Pueblo, six miles north of LakeIsabel. This campground is situated along Squirrel Creek at an elevation of 8,500 feet. There are 12 campsites in the campground. Ten are walk-in tent sites and two (campsites 9 and 10) are suitable for small RVs. There are two vault toilets and two water hydrants in the campground. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire grate. This campground is in a grassy meadow surrounded by spruce and aspen trees. This area is very pretty, especially in the fall. The campground is very quiet and peaceful. It is a great place to tent camp. Reservations are not accepted. Open May through September.

Activities:
FISHING: Fishing is available in Lake Isabel and St. Charles Creek.

HIKING: Hiking is available on the Second Mace, Squirrel Creek, Silver Circle, Dome Rock and South Creek trails.

BIKING: Biking is available on the Second Mace, Squirrel Creek, Silver Circle , Dome Rock and South Creek trails.

MOTORIZED TRAIL RIDING : ATVs are permitted on the Second Mace, Squirrel Creek, Silver Circle trails.

From Pueblo, go 25 miles south on interstate 25 to exit 74. Go west 25 miles on state Hwy 165 to FSR 382. Turn right onto Forest Service Road 382. Travel about 2 miles until the road dead ends into Davenport Campground.
