Robbers Roost Campground
     

     Robbers Roost Campground is located about 21 miles north of I70 on US 40 at an elevation of 9,826 feet. The campground is situated in a dense stand of spruce trees. There are 11 sites in the campground. All of the sites are more suitable for tents. All of the sites are heavily wooded and do not get any sunlight until afternoon. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring or grate. The maximum vehicle length that can be accommodated is 25 feet.
     The roads through the campground are dirt/gravel. There are two water hydrants and one restroom. The restroom will not accommodate disabled persons. Reservations are not accepted for campsites in this campground. The season for this campground normally runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day, depending on the weather.

Activities:
FISHING: Fishing for trout is available in the Fraser River that runs along side of the campground.

HIKING: Hiking is available on the Seven Mile Ski trail and the Mount Nystrom trail in the nearby Vasquez Peak Wilderness. Trails are also available from Berthoud Pass.

SIGHT SEEING: Take US 40 over Berthoud Pass for a great scenic drive.

Directions:
     Take I-70 to US 40. Travel north on 40 for approximately 21 miles. The campground is on the right side of the highway.
