Peaceful Valley Campground
     

     Peaceful Valley Campground is located just west of Highway 72 at an elevation of 8,500 feet. The campground is mostly wooded with open grassy areas interspersed. There are 17 sites in the campground. Nine are suitable for RV camping and eight are more suitable for tents. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring or grate. The maximum vehicle length that can be accommodated is 55 feet.
     The roads through the campground are paved. There is one water hydrant and two restrooms. One of the restrooms will accommodate disabled persons. Reservations are accepted for sites 1 - 7 and 9 and can be made 5 - 240 days in advance. There is a length of stay limit of 14 days for reserved sights and 5 days for non-reserved sights. The season for this campground normally runs from mid-May through mid-October, depending on the weather. Check with the Forest Service for the current fees.

Activities:
FISHING: Fishing for trout is available in the Middle St Vrain river that runs along side of the campground.

HIKING: Hiking is available on the nearby Buchanan Pass, Coney Creek, and St Vrain Mountain trails. A trailhead is located at the west end of Camp Dick (1 mile to the west).

SIGHT SEEING: Take the peak to peak highway for a great scenic drive.

Take Highway 7 west from Lyons approximately 12 miles or Highway 7 south from Estes Park about 18 miles to Highway 72. Turn south on 72 and travel approximately 4 miles to Peaceful Valley Campground.
