Olive Ridge Campground
     

     The Olive Ridge Campground is located just west of Highway 7 at an elevation of 8,350 feet. The campground is heavily wooded. There are 56 sites in the campground. Twenty six are suitable for RV camping and 30 are more suitable for tents. Sites 26 and 40 are oversized. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring or grate. The maximum vehicle length that can be accommodated is 30 feet.
     The roads through the campground are dirt/gravel. There are eight water hydrants and five restrooms. None of the restrooms will accommodate disabled persons. There is a playground for the kids and an amphitheater for nature talks. Reservations are accepted and can be made 5 - 240 days in advance. Sites #1A, 26, 27, 29 - 41, 44,45, 47 - 53, 55 and 56 are reservable. There is a length of stay limit of 14 days for reserved sights and 5 days for non-reserved sights. The season for this campground normally runs from mid May through mid October, depending on the weather.

Activities:
FISHING: Fishing for trout is available in the numerous lakes and streams within Rocky Mountain National Park.

HIKING: There are four trailheads within five miles of the campground. These include: St Vrain Mountain, Wild Basin, Longs Peak, and Twin Sisters.

SIGHT SEEING: Nearby Rocky Mountain National Park offers spectacular views of the Colorado high country. Take the peak to peak highway for a great scenic drive.

Take Highway 7 south from Estes Park approximately ten miles. The campground is on the right side of the road.
