Kelly Flats Campground
     

     Kelly Flats Campground is located about 23 miles west of Highway 287 on Highway 14 at an elevation of 6,600 feet. The campground is situated in a large open meadow along the Cache La Poudre River. There are 29 sites in the campground. Twenty are suitable for RV camping and ten are more suitable for tents. The campground is split by the river with a bridge connecting the two sections. Most of the sites are in the meadow with some wooded sites located along the southern edge. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring or grate. The maximum vehicle length that can be accommodated is 40 feet.
     The roads through the campground are paved (1999). There are three water hydrants and four restrooms. Three of the restrooms will accommodate disabled persons. Reservations are not accepted for sites in this campground. The season for this campground normally runs from mid May through September, depending on the weather.

Activities:
FISHING: Fishing for trout is available in the Cache La Poudre River that runs along side of the campground.

HIKING: Hiking is available on the nearby Mount McConnel Trail and on jeep roads across Highway 14. The Mount McConnel Trailhead is located in the Mountain Park campground about a mile to the east.

BICYCLING: Mountain biking is available on the jeep roads across Highway 14 from the campground.

SIGHT SEEING: Take the Poudre Canyon Highway for a great scenic drive.

Directions:
     Take Highway 287 north from Fort Collins to Laporte. Continue on Highway 287 to Highway 14. Travel west on 14 for 23 miles to the campground. The campground is on the left side of the highway.
