Horseshoe Campground
     

     Horseshoe Campground is located about 25 miles northeast of Silverthorn at an elevation of 8,540 feet. The campground is situated in a stand of spruce and aspen trees next to the Williams Fork River. There are seven sites in the campground. All of the sites are suitable for RV camping. Most of the sites are wooded. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring or grate. The maximum vehicle length that can be accommodated is 23 feet.
     The roads through the campground are dirt. There is one water hydrant and one restroom. The restroom will not accommodate disabled persons. Campsites can not be reserved at this campground. The season for this campground normally runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day, depending on the weather.

Activities:
FISHING: Fishing for trout is available in the Williams Fork River that runs along side of the campground and in nearby Keyser Creek.

HIKING: Hiking is available on the nearby Williams Peak trail. This trail is located about a half mile north of the campground on Forest Road 138.

Directions:
     
Take I-70 to Silverthorn. Travel north on SR 9 for approximately 12 miles to Forest Road 132. Turn right on 132 and go over Ute Pass to Forest Road 138 (about 9 miles). Turn left and travel about 3.2 miles to Forest Road 139. Turn right and the campground is immediately on the left.
