Dutch George Flats Campground
     

     Dutch George Flats Campground is located about 20 miles west of Highway 287 at an elevation of 6,500 feet. The campground is situated in a large open meadow along the Cache La Poudre River. There are 20 sites in the campground. All of the campsites are suitable for RV camping. Most of the sites are in the meadow with some wooded sites located along the eastern edge. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring or grate. The maximum vehicle length that can be accommodated is 33 feet.
     The roads through the campground are paved. There are 2 water hydrants and 2 restrooms. Both of the restrooms will accommodate disabled persons. A wheelchair accessible river trail runs the length of the campground along the Poudre River for leisurely walks. Benches are located along the way for resting or just relaxing and listening to the river. Campsites can not be reserved. The season for this campground normally runs from mid May through September.

Activities:
FISHING: Fishing for trout is available in the Cache La Poudre River that runs along side of the campground.

HIKING: Hiking is available on the nearby Mount McConnel trail. The trailhead is located in the Mountain Park campground, a few miles west of Dutch George Flats.

SIGHT SEEING: Take the Poudre Canyon Highway for a great scenic drive.

Directions:
     
Take Highway 287 north from Fort Collins to Laporte. Continue on Highway 287 to Highway 14. Travel west on 14 for 20 miles to the campground. The campground is on the left side of the highway.
