Clear Lake Campground
     

     Clear Lake Campground is a easy four mile drive from Georgetown and I-70 on County Road 381. This is a small campground with only eight sights with one assigned to a host. The road in the campground is dirt. There is one water hydrant and the toilet facilities are not disabled accessible. The campground is located directly off the road and is situated at the base of a steep hillside. It lies among beautiful stands of spruce and aspen. There are several large stands of aspen on the hills in the area making the view very enjoyable. This campground is open from late May to mid September, depending on weather. Fishing and hiking are available in the area. The campground is at an elevation of 10,000 feet which can limit the season for these activities.
     Sites can't be reserved at this campground. Maximum recommended vehicle size is a short 25 feet. The sites are all suitable for small RVs.
     The campground is near a large electric power station and you will hear the "hum" from the campsites.
Check with the Forest Service for the current fees.

Activities:
FISHING: Fishing for trout is available in South Clear Creek. The stream is brushy and has several beaver ponds.

SIGHT SEEING: Historic Georgetown is just 4 miles away. Continue driving up County Road 381 to reach Guanella Pass for breathtaking scenery.

HIKING: Hiking is available from Guanella Pass.

WILDLIFE VIEWING: There are abundant wildlife in the area.

Directions:
     Take I-70 to Georgetown. Follow the signs for Guanella Pass on County Road 381. Travel approximately 4 miles to the campground. The campground is located on the right side of the road.
