Chambers Lake Campground
     

     Chambers Lake Campground is located about 51 miles west of Highway 287 just off of Highway 14 at an elevation of 9,200 feet. The campground is situated on the southwest end of Chambers Lake. There are 51 sites in the campground. All of the sites are suitable for RV camping. Most of the sites are heavily wooded with lodgepole pine. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring or grate. The maximum vehicle length that can be accommodated is 30 feet.
     The roads through the campground are paved. There are five water hydrants and six restrooms. Only one of the restrooms will accommodate disabled persons. Reservations are accepted and can be made 5 - 240 days in advance. The season for this campground normally runs from June through September, depending on the weather. Check with the Forest Service for the current fees.

Activities:
FISHING: Fishing for trout is available in nearby Chambers Lake, Lost Lake, Laramie Lake, Barnes Meadow Reservoir, Laramie River, Cache La Poudre River and Joe Wright Creek.

HIKING: Hiking is available on numerous trails in the Rawah Wilderness and on the Big South Trail.

BICYCLING: Mountain biking is permitted on the Laramie River Road and the Green Ridge Trail.

BOATING: Both motorized and non-motorized boating is available on Chambers Lake.

SIGHT SEEING: Take the Poudre Canyon highway for a great scenic drive.

Directions:
     Take Highway 287 north from Fort Collins to Laporte. Continue on Highway 287 to Highway 14. Travel west on 14 for 51 miles to the campground. The campground is on the right side of the highway.
