Bellaire Campground
     

     Bellaire Campground is located near Red Feather Lakes at an elevation of 8,600 feet. The campground is situated in a lodgepole pine and aspen forest. There are 26 sites in the campground. All of the sites are suitable for RV camping. Most of the sites are heavily wooded and have electrical hookups. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring or grate. The maximum vehicle length that can be accommodated is 60 feet.
     The roads through the campground are packed dirt. There are three water hydrants and three restrooms. All of the restrooms will accommodate disabled persons. There are several trails within the campground and a wheelchair accessible trail around Bellaire Lake (only 1/4 mile is wheelchair accessible). Reservations are now (2008) accepted for this campground. The season for this campground normally runs from mid May through September, depending on the weather. Check with the Forest Service for the current fees.

Activities:
FISHING: Fishing for trout is available in Bellaire Lake next to the campground.

HIKING: Hiking is available on trails within the campground and a wheelchair accessible trail runs around the lake. The Molly Lake trail is located a short distance from the turnoff to Bellaire Lake.

BICYCLING: There are numerous jeep roads in the area suitable for mountain biking.

BOATING: Non-motorized boating is available on Bellaire Lake.

Directions:
     Take Highway 287 north from Fort Collins to Laporte. Continue north on 287 to Livermore. Travel west on 74E for 27 miles to County Road 162. Turn left and go 2.5 miles to the campground turnoff. Turn right and travel about a mile to the campground entrance on the left side of the road.
