Arapaho Bay Campground
     

     Arapaho Bay Campground is located at the southeast end of Lake Granby along the shore. There are three separate loops: Big Rock, Moraine, and Roaring Fork. There are 84 sites in the campground. Seventy five are suitable for RV camping and nine are more suitable for tents. All of the tent sites are located in the Roaring Fork Loop. Most of the sites are heavily wooded with lodgepole pine. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring or grate. The maximum vehicle length that can be accommodated is 35 feet.
     The roads through the campground are gravel. There are nine water hydrants and seven restrooms. None of the restrooms will accommodate disabled persons. Reservations are accepted and can be made 5 - 240 days in advance. The season for this campground normally runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day, depending on the weather. After Labor Day camping is available on a first come, first serve basis (no reservations) with reduced services while weather permits. Sites 1-7 on the Big Rock Loop available year round. Check with the Forest Service for the current fees. You must have an Arapaho National Recreation Area permit to camp here.

Activities:
FISHING: Fishing for trout is available in the Lake Granby, Monarch Lake, and Roaring Fork Creek.

HIKING: Hiking is available on the nearby Roaring Fork and Knight Ridge trails. Additional trails into the Indian Peaks Wilderness are available at the Monarch Lake trailhead.

BICYCLING: There are several trails in the Arapaho National Recreation Area where mountain biking is permitted.

BOATING: Boating is available on Lake Granby. The campground has a boat ramp for launching boats.

Directions:
     Take I-70 to US 40. Travel north on US 40 to Granby. Turn right on US 34 just north of Granby. Travel approximately five miles to the entrance to the Arapaho National Recreation Area. Turn right on to Forest Road 125 and travel nine miles to the campground area. The campsites are located on the southeast side of Lake Granby.
